Peloton wants to influence the clothes you wear to your workouts too

It looks like Peloton (PTON) wants everyone on (and off) its machines to look more dope! It’s collaborated with Adidas (ADS) to launch a new apparel collection designed with the help of some of the at-home fitness company’s most famous instructors Cody Rigsby, Robin Arzon, and Ally Love. If you’re drawing a blank at who these people are, you better get your bum cycling!

The diversity-focused collection (because, that’s what’s trending in fashion these days), available from tomorrow, will feature varied pieces such as leggings, t-shirts, tank tops, and hoodies.

Adidas is known for its epic collaborations, including its latest partnership with Beyonce’s activewear brand Ivy Park and its incredibly profitable, years-long business union with rapper Kanye West (Yeezy is a billion-dollar empire).

why it matters
Adidas may be one of the world’s biggest brands in fitness, but Peloton was one of the few companies in the industry that actually thrived last year during lockdown (its revenue in 2020 was $1.8b). Both brands boast really solid communities, so this partnership is really a win-win situation for both.
