Orange to share the gift of video streaming across Egypt

Orange subscribers in Egypt can now enjoy a 30-day extended free trial to the Jawwy TV app thanks to a new strategic partnership between Orange Egypt and Intigral, the company that is extending the streaming services.

Those who have reinstated or reignited their habit of binge-watching TV over the lockdown period last year can rejoice, as the offer allows viewers to enjoy both linear television and video-on-demand (VOD), with countless titles available across various genres (in both English and Arabic). The VOD library includes exclusive film titles and original productions of Jawwy TV. Subscribers can also watch 50 free-to-air channels alongside aggregated content from global content providers such as Fox+, StarzPlay, and Cartoon Network. Looks like viewers will be spoilt for choice!

Thanks to this strategic partnership, Orange can provide more value to its subscribers, while Intigral is given access to a new pool of prospective clients.

why it matters
The recent proliferation of Over The Top (OTT) platforms in Egypt (and the wider MENA region) mirrors the global trend that is currently shaping the media industry worldwide towards at-home streaming. Though the Orange/ Intigral partnership marks a win-win situation for these companies specifically in this instance, more of such partnerships can be expected to pop up across the region in the coming year as people continue to stay away from movie theatres.
