DP World en route to secure major deal in Angola

Dubai’s ports operator DP World made yet another push in Africa this month after being selected as the preferred bidder for a $190 million deal in Angola. If all goes well, the company will win a 20-year concession to operate a terminal in the country’s capital, Luanda. DP World and the Angolan Ministry of Transport have been in talks since last month.

why it matters
This is DP World's second major deal in the African continent in less than a month. Just recently, it announced it landed a 50-year concession agreement for the Port of Dakar in Senegal. This solidifies the company's status as a big player in Africa and opens doors for other major future deals.
